This Privacy Policy explains how Loose Lead Club ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores and protects your personal data when you visit our website, enquire about our services or work with us. 1. Who we are
Loose Lead Club is a dog training and behaviour business run by Paul Wilson, based in Thornton Heath, London CR7 7BH. For any data protection questions, you can contact us at hello@looseleadclub.com.
We are the data controller for any personal data you provide to us.
2. What data we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Contact details such as your name, email address and phone number when you book an application call or enquire about working with us.
- Information about your dog such as breed, age, behavioural history, veterinary background and training history, shared during the application call and throughout any programme.
- Your address or training location for in-person sessions.
- Payment information processed by our payment provider. We do not store your full card details.
- Correspondence such as emails, messages and call notes.
- Technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected automatically by our hosting provider in server logs for security and performance reasons.
3. How we use your data
We use your data to:
- Respond to your enquiry and arrange your free discovery call.
- Assess whether we can help you and your dog.
- Deliver the programme you have booked with us.
- Process payments and manage our contract with you.
- Keep records for our legal, tax and insurance obligations.
- Send you service-related messages during your programme.
- Improve our website and services.
4. Our lawful basis
Under UK GDPR, we rely on the following lawful bases:
- Contract: to provide the services you have booked with us.
- Legitimate interests: to respond to enquiries, keep records, and run and improve our business.
- Legal obligation: to keep records required by HMRC, our insurer or other authorities.
- Consent: where we ask for it, for example if we ever send you marketing emails. You can withdraw consent at any time.
5. Who we share your data with
We only share your data with trusted third parties that help us run our business. These include:
- Calendly for scheduling your application call. See their privacy policy.
- Google for email, reviews and basic business tools. See their privacy policy.
- WhatsApp / Meta if you choose to message us via WhatsApp. See their privacy policy.
- Our accountant, payment provider and insurer where required for legal, financial or contractual reasons.
We never sell your personal data. We will only share it with anyone else if we are legally required to.
6. International transfers
Some of our providers (such as Google, Calendly and Meta) are based in the United States or transfer data there. Where this happens, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
7. How long we keep your data
We keep your data only for as long as we need it:
- Enquiry records where we do not end up working together: up to 12 months.
- Client records: for the duration of the programme and then for 6 years afterwards to meet HMRC record-keeping requirements.
- Server logs: typically 30 to 90 days.
